Jesse Coyle’s Tavelo Arow: The Bike That Inspired Our Build

If you’re a fan of The Nero Show, then you’ve seen this bike. Jesse Coyle’s Tavelo Arow has been front and centre on the pod for months now — it’s his main race bike, and he’s been pushing it hard in both training and racing. After 4,500km and a bunch of events, he dropped a full six-month review of the Arow, and honestly? It just reinforced what we already thought: this is a seriously legit frame.

We’ve been watching Jesse’s journey with this bike since Episode 87 of The Nero Show, where he talked through his parts choices and the whole idea behind the build — trying to spec the fastest possible disc brake race bike using direct-from-Asia components. That episode played a huge part in how we chose to spec our own Tavelo Arow complete builds.

One thing Jesse ran into was some reliability issues with his LTWOO ERX groupset — specifically shifting performance and button response on long rides. It looked promising on paper, but just didn’t hold up for racing. That’s why for our builds, we’ve opted to run the Wheeltop EDS TX, a wireless electronic groupset that’s been reviewed and recommended by both Oz Cycle and Cam Nicholls. It hits the right balance of performance, price, and reliability — and gives the Arow the electronic setup it deserves.

From the CBRE cranks to the CRW deep section wheels, the Riot 3D-printed saddle, and the Wheeltop 12-speed group, Jesse’s setup laid the blueprint — and we’ve followed it closely, with a few key upgrades.

We’ve based our complete Arow builds on what Jesse landed on after months of real-world testing — but if you’re after an exact replica of his setup, shoot us an email and we’ll make it happen. We can even help you tweak sizing, gearing, or fit to match your needs.
